Apologies in advance for such a mundane topic, but I need some USB-C to C and USB-A to C cables.

Are there any brands that are decent?

Some of those I have given up on life or the phone says they are damaged.

Again, sorry. Cheers!

I normally get Anker from Amazon. Just the lifetime warranty 9nc3 as well which was hassle free.

Apple carplay will only work in my new Transit Custom with a genuine Apple lead, all other leads I've tried of various brands and prices won't connect to the system

Halfords leads are Apple approved and come in a variety of lengths - very long to very short. I’ve got lightning  and USB, B & C and they’ve been reliable.

Anker is what I use if I want a higher quality one, otherwise just any generic one.

Another vote for Anker, this article shows why some won’t work properly.

Belkin here. Amazon Basics also seem OK

I got a couple of Native Union. Heavily braided and look as though they should last.

Even if you did have apple then you’d be fine with Anker.

As I said, no other cable works with the ford Sync system successfully.

Other than a genuine Apple lead

Anker, Belkin and Ugreen are my go to for decent quality cables.

Can't be arsed with something that could die on me or refuse to work for the sake of the few quid extra a decent one costs.

Just for amusement, I used to think that USB cables just contained wires.  How wrong was I...

I tried using an Anker cable to get carplay working on my wife's car the other day.... Wouldn't work, no idea why.

Boggo Amazon cable worked fine.

I’ve found that if the cable is MFI certified (Made For iPhone certification) it will work fine

Anker or Amazon Basics, depending on how much I want to spend at the time and what it's for
