I find myself in a soulless hotel near Victoria station, London and would love a quick beer or 2.
Any suggestions?

Cask at Pimlico is walkable - bit hipster

it's not exactly around Victoria but <10 mins walking distance to Pimlico and Cask

Few in Pimlico itself look OK, but I've not been in - my son has a rehearsal room there for a show he's in and I sometimes drive up to collect him.

The Cask is ok; reasonable food and some nice beers, but a bit soulless. I worked around Broadway/Petty France many years ago, and there were a few nice pubs round there, although back then they were often frequented by dodgy coppers. My favourite place was behind Westminster Cathedral; it was called the Cardinal, but now apparently it's The Windsor Castle.
