It's an old trick. The solution is to use the bulb's bayonet fitting to stick the loose end up your mate's arse. That'll give you the purchase you need to remove it.

You had a lucky escape though; those screw thread ones are a lot harder to plug in.

He went in to a shop, tried the bulb to see if he liked it, and then went and bought it online. Coz it wuz cheepa, innit.

After all, it's all about being selfish, isn't it?

I know a naughty story about a lady, a snooker ball and a trip to hossy ...won't repeat it on-line though as likely to get band!!

Can't stop giggling at the idea of A&E departments round the country filling up tonight with people with light bulbs stuck in their gobs.

Any OP update? Or do we fear he's in hospital being repaired?

I think the OP's led the way with this. Watt was he thinking? I think his 'Edison back to front. Then again I've heard of dimmer things done with light bulbs.

Troll-lolz?

i tried to log in a couple of days ago i got this "You are banned from this forum for 8 years 1 months from now.
You were banned because:

(8 years and 1 month for this thread!)

i went to hospital hidden by a scarf and some pen and paper to communicate, felt a total tool at the reception desk. after waiting a bit was taken to a room and nurse had a look and a poke about then a doctor came and did the same. they werent getting anywhere and werent wanting to force it too much and resorted to google and the top result was this thread. thanks to mcmoonter for the link an adapted version of that method worked and no cut tongue or nothing. ill probably get banned again with this new name now despite never abusing any 1 or swearing or posting porn but thats the update for those that were interested, id probably have needed to change username anyway to get away from being the knob who got a lightbulb stuck in his mouth.
