So, a few years ago, I fitted some white UPVC windows in my garage. I left on the protective tape that covered the frames as the plasterer who pebbledashed my house said he'd return to do my garage. He never did and I eventually forgot about the windows.
I'm about to have my garage sorted out and I've tried to remove the old protective tape but it won't budge,,I don't want to leave it as it looks 5h1t,,is there anything I can apply to the old tape that'll melt it off but wont damage my window frames?

Try heating it with a hairdryer.

I've used a wallpaper steamer to remove protective tape the been left on too long, just go steady and stay clear of the glass.
