Started commuting again last week and noticed that the ride home includes passing 3 kebab vans and a drive-through KFC. How unhealthy is yours if you were to introduce a fast-food equivalent of a pub-crawl home?
BTW anybody know why the Kebab van by Swinley at the Crowthorne Roundabout is so popular? I've been past there at 2 or 3 in the am and it's always rammed, must be something going on there....
chippy - chippy - Indian - Pizza - Chippy - KFC - Dominos - Chippy - Balti & Pizza - Chinese
That's in about 9 miles from Oldbury to Kingswinford. mmmmmmmmmmm
I have to cycle past a couple of Subway shops. That horrible sickly sweet smell that oozes out of them is so utterly vile, I never want to eat anything ever again.
Then I have to ride past all the little Asian cafes in the northern quarter and the smell of curry and Lamb Tikka kebabs wofts across the road. I then want to gorge myself like Mr Creasote 🙂
Loads, but then I do commute into Bradford. Mmmmm curry! 🙂
often thought about riding through the mersey tunnels to commute......now that looks unhealthy especially when you can see all the smog in the tunnel when driving through in a car. Not quite food outlets but still unhealthy
I win - I'm in Glasgow. 😀

do they sell King Size Rizla papers?
Jon: either that or its the dogging capital of Berkshire...
Never thought about it but you know what? I think in 14 miles I pass only one chippy. There is quite a lot of offroad on my route though.
Have you ever eaten a subway Binners? The cheese and steak with everything on it!!!!!! My god it looks unhealthy but it tastes so delicious!!!
My commute is pretty unhealthy. 3 roundabouts on a stetch of dual carriageway that the good people of Middleton use for their land speed record attempts.
Morrisons, petrol station, chinese, kebab van, local shop.
All in all not too bad, but bad enough.

HaHaHaaaaaa!
If you'd gone past it at 2-3am this Fri night/Sat morning, you'd have see 10 hungry MTBers scoffing for all they were worth as we did a 55 mile all-night loop round all the local trails from Aldershot to Crowthorne!
I have to say there was a LOT of other customers too. Lots of shiny slip on shoes and designer shirts returning from the clubs.....
that does look unhealthy
I like to drag behind buses up the hills - I can't imagine that's doing my lungs any good
Not mine but Mrs XCwanabe's commute.
Mac Ds,- indian - chinese - unknow take away - chippy - indian - indian - chinese - kebab - chinese - chippy - pasty shop - pasty shop - chinese in 6.2miles!
Good job it's to and from a hospital!
mine's through 6 miles of central london. i couldn't count how many i pass, but a rough estimate would be in the hundreds 😆
i wouldn't make it down more than two streets. 🙂
having said that, a new pie minister van has appeared on upper street. i have been meaning to stop off on the way back, their food is spectacular.
1 chip shop but then it's only 1/4 mile at the most.
I commute 13 miles through Ealing, Brentford, Honslow, Feltham and Staines so I could easily loose count of the number of chicken and kebab joints, must be several dozen, even 100?
