It's all about, it would seem, Opportunity Canvasses these days

That's how we're now managing demand up to Board level

What a world eh, what a world!

There'll be a poor internal comms bod currently sitting in a corner with a snapped pencil and beautifully written bit of content saying

"No, they made me go back to their version at the last minute"

The new one in our place is "I'd like to double click on that". In other words they would like to slow down and make sure they understand what is being explained.

I'm getting too old and grumpy for this shit...

I think we need to discuss this offline, maybe circle back later and pick it up?

I've lost count of the number of buzz-phrases I hear and use during the course of the day. Sadly, working in IT in Media means that I am just about forced to be a giver as well as a taker for them.

Before running the idea up the flag pole we need to see what is on the radar screen.

I’m getting too old and grumpy for this shit…

It's just a means to create management cliques and exclude anyone who won't put up with bullshit and bollocks. And then they wonder why the organisation is struggling.

My sister is presently involved with a large corporate merger. She sent me a copy of a media press release about it. It was absolutely incomprehensible gibberish, leaving you none the wiser. Who writes this shit?

The words ‘maximising synergies’ were used over and over.

It was totally Perfect Curve…

And anyone who works in meedya knows exactly how accurate Perfect Curve is

“I’d like to double click on that”

Crikey that's a new one. I'd like to sit opposite the fresh faced millennial that says that to me in a meeting.

I used "synergies" in a meeting the other day, but I paused, smiled, put it in "air quotes", apologised for saying it...

I'm presently trying to work in "I'd buy that for a dollar" to the local buzzword idea shower.

I love W1A. I also hate it with a passion for the similarities to real life.

Also, Daisy Steiner from Spaced.

That’s how it starts…slippery slope from here on.
