Possibly a silly question, but can you get a current TomTom model in the UK, with US maps on them, either SD card, or built on?

Why not go to nearest Walmart from airport on arrival and buy one for $40.00.
Use it and return it as not what you wanted on return to airport.
Money back buy sweets/book for the plane journey.

This might not help much, but I've got CoPilot Live on my phone, and bought the whole US version, just in case, for £5.99.
