The site I was using to download UK TV whilst out of the UK has been shutdown. What do I need to know about a proxy server that will allow me to access iplayers etc?
How else will I get my fix of The Cycle Show....?

Hi, just resurrecting this thread as I've found something better. ExpatShield started playing up - doesn't seem to play nice with Firefox 15 - it kept crashing it. At the weekend I found a Firefox app called "stealthy" which seems to work great so far.

I use HMA. The benefit is that you have a choice of servers you can choose to connect to on each session, so you can change dependent on your needs. I can jump from streaming NHL via American servers to iplayer using a London server.

Have a look at Witopia personal, same benefits as HMA for a good bit less

Thanks Jota. Paid up with HMA for another 10 months, but will look into Witopia after that.
Witopia is great - there are apparently some problems with proxy servers being blocked etc, but not with VPNs like Witopia. Witopia also lets you pretend to be in the USA or lots of other countries for no extra cost. So you can watch Hulu and the rest of it.
