we have just got back from a friday-monday break in North Wales, near pwlhelli (however its spelt) for £197.

It was a Haven site , love or loath them, but we just used it as a base. Had good days out at Caernarfon, Anglessey, Snowdon mountain railway. In fact the days out cost more than the accommodation, but it didnt have to. Could have spent more time on the beach or walking etc which is free.

This year we stayed at home. We live in London so there was plenty to do. We also rented a cottage in the Lakes which the kids loved as did I.

Yes it was that site, its a big one. Lots for kids to do like go karts, boats, golf, playgrounds etc but the discos/entertainment are awful.

I went to a park dean holiday in Tummell bridge this summer, they had a kids disco every evening from 6-8, the little un is normally in bed at 7 but we took her being on holidays etc.

She loved the disco but I was a bit put off by their choice of music. I complained to the manager about "your sexy and you know it" and he couldn't understand my problem in his own words.

Again great base but entertainment was terrible.
