Torrenting can be perfectly legit, the legal status just comes down to what you're torrenting!

FWIW, i use deluge on a server that's setup with an rss feed to auto-download stuff as it comes out. I only download tv shows. The legal status of this seems to be undetermined AFAIK.

Given the amount of other places with direct download links to Fileserve/Rapidshare etc, I really can't see the point of torrents if you were purely looking for hookey code

used it for ages one of the easiest to use, use isohunt to find the files then away you go.

uTorrent is great. I've used it for years.

Legally, the client isn't illegal, but some of the content you can access might be. Same as, Internet Explorer isn't illegal, but you could theoretically access illegal websites with it if you wanted.
