The left of the republicans is still far right in any objective assessment of politics. The democrats are centre right. I loathe all right wing politicians - they have damaged so many lives and even the moderates amongst them are enablers. Lie with a dog - get fleas.
Its a product of what I and my other half have had to deal with all our working lives
That’s one of our elected MPs there.
He's been hanging out on the same sites as 5thElephant.
People so ignorant of politics, history and reality shouldn't be able to vote, let alone be an MP. 🙁
Back in line now, ready to do my lizard overlords bidding.
The sunlit uplands await you, brother. 🙂
Not a complete thundercat perhaps but a decent person? Nope. McCain is a decent chap for a far right conservative perhaps but its a low bar
McCain was a decent human being - IMO; we disagree - bon.
@Northwind brilliant, genuinely laughed out loud at that. Got some really odd looks from the other funeral attendees.
Got No major issue with McCain. Don't agree with his politics but he had principles.
Tbh there have been many Tory mp's I didn't mind also. Just because their politics is different than mine doesn't make them a bad person.
What makes our current lot so bad is not so much their politics as the fact they are a bunch of self serving, lying charlatans. Very much in the form of trump.
Greta juat biden her time on this one

^^^ Revenge is a dish best served cold. 😀
Does John King (CNN) ever sleep?
trump due to talk to the nation from WH at 11.30pm GMT; either aggressive - we're going all the way with this - or conceding defeat?
President Trump is not planning to throw in the towel simply because Joe Biden declares victory, CBS reports, quoting a senior Trump campaign official.
“In a free and fair election, the president will win,” CBS quotes the official as saying.
I think this is the end for him - in a torrent of vitriol.
Or...will trump make big announcements as if he's won?
Why not? Are you not entertained?
... again?

Go to war?
Is that for real. FFS, where does this end?
Just watching CNN, Jim Acosta PROPERLY hates Trump...
The orange toddler is just going to whip up mental conspiracy theories to his tinfoil-helmeted, squirrel-eating shitkickers, living in the woods in Iowa with their assault rifles and enough ammo to vaporise space.
I’m sure this will go well
Was going to post donny jr's tweet; clearly aimed at a certain part of trump's base but easy to deny true intent by saying...I was referring to all legal means available; 'going to war' is a turn of phrase - it's not literal.
Tell that to the gun toting' good ole boys.
Here we go...
**** me, less than a minute in.
and he doubles down again.......
A neocon Warhawk like McCain is somehow admired for his human decency in this forum? Are you kidding me? Has the Trump derangement syndrome affected you lot this much? I’m sure him and his buddies would have found another suitable conflict to interject in resulting in another 20 year war.
and he doubles down again…
Yup, says he won the vote, sticks to the idea that “late” votes (that he made late) are illegal. Lists all the conspiracy theory tropes you can think of…
It's like watching David Icke.
‘Powerful special interests’ - claims the media tried to suppress voters… projection? Much?
He’s on his “early counted votes are real votes, later counted votes are so unfair”.
People will fall for this manipulation, even though it’s so transparent, and the damage to America will outlive him.
The President of the United States is saying that the electoral process is corrupt.
Also says he won PA, and Georgia
this is astounding. I'm aware I live in an echo chamber but is anyone even from Trump's supporters watching this and believing any of it. Or is the worry that they don't believe it but pretend they do if it gets the result they want?
Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies… he lives by them… he’s going nowhere.
The incoherent ramblings of a madman
Anyone else reminded of Christopher Walker in Pulp Fiction

Did he say he's actually seen fraud happen?
Yep, “in lots of elections”.
"so much evidence and so much proof......
he's wired to the ****ing moon
This footage will be used in history lessons
Unbroken delusional stream of consciousness it's like Jim Jones in Guyana! Holy f***. There's no hint of doubt in his rambling which is the scary part and which makes it convincing, if you're that way inclined
I’m going to bed. He’ll still be president next year… he’s going to overturn the election… and convince his people that he’s done the exact opposite. Democracy is about to take a beating.
Shenanigans!

10mins of nothing but dribble. And who has nicked his red tie
Wow.
He’ll still be president next year
Calm down man! It'll be fine. He just dug his own grave with that unhinged speech. His republican colleagues have deserted him, his media friends have deserted him. The only friends he has left are nutters and conspiracists. He's done. Have a beer and celebrate, then sleep easy, I know I will.
No sign of Pence there.
Jake Tapper on CNN is really summing up how pathetic this was.
No sign of Pence there.
Indeed, even his own VP has deserted him. He's taking on the heart of the US state, which is the constitution and democracy itself. He's not that strong, and he's not that clever. He's about to find out just what the 'deep state' is. I'm looking forward to him being marched out of the white house in January by the generals.
In an attempt to move out of the echo chamber Fox reporting that Trump's campaign has a list of 'thousands' of names of voters who moved out of Nevada before election day but voted there, also lists of names of deceased voters.....but even they are somewhat sceptical in absence of these lists.
Santorium taking biiiig steps backwards on CNN.
A neocon Warhawk like McCain is somehow admired for his human decency in this forum?
I don't think anyone's saying he would've been a good president or that they support his policies (I certainly don't), but he was generally fairly honest and treated his political opponents with respect. Same goes for Mitt Romney. Trump has built his platform on disrespecting the right of anyone to disagree with him.
