Thinking of taking my dad, who is 83.
Our lass (from Rock Ferry) reckons he'll love it.
Get the combined ticket for the ferry as well , goes down the river past the wind turbine manufactorty, a few large shops if youre lucky and yesterday some huge cruise shop was tied up at the pier head liverpool.
Then theres the tram at woodside to the transport museum, the worlds first submarine made of wood and lots more.
Bit small and not that great tbh I can barely recall it tbh from when I went . Agree with tram ride to museum and using the ferry fir a full day out
Big riverside celebration to mark the second world war in next few weeks, all centred in/on the river.
Looks good.

Lots of the big uns berthing next weekend I think for the celebration. The sub was great years ago when I made a flying visit home. Driving down the docks and coming across the submarine up on blocks on waste ground. Comedy value of it looking like someone had nicked his wheels in that part of town.
I'm sure there's also one in Portsmouth, where you can go round a WW2 British sub. Was taken on a our once by the DRA when I was working down there decades ago.....

Its now cut up into large bits with viewing galleries, and perspex covers so you can see more inside.
Submarines dont have wheels.
yes you need a duckmarine for that - one for the locals 😉
very underrated city for a visit is Liverpool
Ignore the stereotypes it is a cracking place to spend a few days
I am not from Liverpool but i do visit with my kids/family
I know they don't have wheels that was the funny bit for me. The museum was down the road from where I worked a lot last year. Think one of the UK's first sub trials was in the Mersey.
