Just bought a s/h Civic hatch and it looks like one of the tyres has a slow puncture. So the compressor has part of the cigarette lighter plug missing (maybe I could just stick a new plug on it??) and obvs the repair sealant is out of date (none of this stuff looks like it has been used and the car is nine years old...!) No big deal as I wasn't stranded anywhere, but needs sorting asap.
So, any recommendations for a tyre repair kit/compressor combo?? And am I correct in thinking that you can't use the repair solutioned tyre long term?
Probably simple answers somewhere, but I'm much happier fixing bike things than car things

If the tyre has plenty of tread and the puncture is in a place on the tyre that can be repaired I think a tyre place will do the repair cheap enough with a plug. Why not get them to do it.

^^^^^ that's best option. Might not be a puncture, but leaking from the bead if they are alloys. Prob be about £15-£20 for a puncture repair or rim clean and seal

Then source a new can of sealant and swap the compressor plug out, just in case you're caught out some other time.
