I was out yesterday afternoon in the Pentland Hills and my eye caught this small bird which was very striking. Slightly larger than a house sparrow, it had very distinctive black/white underwings. I tried to get some photos but every time I tried to get closer, we wee fella just hopped away ๐Ÿ™‚

Had a wee bird of prey in the garden the other morning. Didn't seem phased by me whatsoever. Very cool.
