Lost my footing stepping out of the garage and went down like a sack of spuds 🥔 garage door is located where the dog does it’s sh1ts, as it wasn’t the end of the day his morning ablution was getting baked in the sun! I just missed the turd whilst rolling around in agony.
Home today as it’s nice n swollen...
...remedies ???? I’ve elevated my leg/anti inflammatory.

Ice is your friend during the acute phase, and there's a bit of a debate about whether NSAIDs inhibit the repair phase, even if they do help get you moving again.
I would follow the POLICE principles above, lots of ice, and get it moving/weight bearing ASAP. If it's a bad sprain start doing some balance/proprioceptive work as soon as it's bearable too.
Elevate and ice with frozen peas wrapped in a towel, take Ibuprofen and keep it moving gently.
I'm a chronic ankle sprainer, the last time I did it was walking on a flat pavement outside my hotel in that London, on my way to a visa appointment at the US embassy. That was not a comfortable experience.
