Flatscreen TV with usual red/right white/lift audio jacks. What is the best way to connect to existing wall mounted speakers? There are four existing "bell wire" cables with cut ends coming out of the floor which I guess are the speaker connects. Any suggestions as to the neatest solution, I don't want to pay a fortune. Thanks.
You'll presumably have to get an amp to power the speakers, then run connects from amp to tv.
As above you need an amp to connect to the red white line out connections on the TV. Then connect to the speaker wires.
Your cheapest amp option will probably be a "Tripath" type amp. You can get them for about £20 on ebay. Very compact and surprising sound quality for the money.

The amp makes sense. Thanks for the replies and the link to the amp!
