I think my TV has died - I have a Sky disc (no terrestrial signal here) and after working fine for years, the TV now automatically switches to a black screen with EXT1 withina few minutes of starting.
I'm asuming that this is a TV problem rather than a problem with the Sky connection - does anyone know?
So, will probably need a new TV - flat screen I guess - not very large - any recommendations? Anyone know of any good deals at the moment?

Contact your local TV repair outfit first ? Would seem a shame to chuck something in landfill which could be repaired.
I was offered a 42" plasma screen thingy the other day, for £250.
I declined, but I thought it was very enterprising, for the nice gentlemen in the vayn who were just driving around and asking random strangers if they would like to buy a telly at a [i]significantly reduced price[/i]. What with the recession and everything, I imagine they're onto a winner! 😀
I can't say when they'll be around again. But I'll try to get a business card off them, if I do see them again...
