Had our LG TV for 6 years. Speakers have started to distort even at low volumes. Are these sorts of things fixable or is that it for the TV? Cant watch it with speakers like that.

Could you use external speakers? I never use the TV speakers on ours.

If you don't want to upgrade the TV then maybe a soundbar would be a good idea.

plug in an external amp and speakers...keep the tv sound turned down and you're good to go
