I have a new TV - I am happy about this.

The rest of my 'kit' is getting on a bit. I have connected up a Jamo DVR50 DVD surround system via the scart lead (using the scart to HDMI adaptor supplied with the TV). I now want to connect my old Humax PVR.

However, this was also scart based. The other options on the back seem to be the old lead style (with yellow video and white and red audio L/R), an S/PDIF and an RS232C. Can I use any of these - its all a mystery to me?

The other option would be to use the adaptor to connect the PVR and one of other options from the DVD player which are shown on page 6 of this manual: -

Will any of these allow me to use it or is it just the scart?

I intend to upgrade to an av amp when funds permit so need something for the next few months

Cheers

What TV do you have? Does it not have more than one HMDI socket or an actual scart socket?

If not maybe a scart splitter would do the trick?

Plenty of HDMI - I'd just have to buy another adaptor and I guess I'd prefer not to seeing as its short term. Maybe only option...

Our TV only has one scart socket, so I got a scart switch (manual rather than Auto, as I'd read they dont always work). Threee devices into one, just push the button on the device you want to use.
NB You have to get of your harris to use it, buit I think I'll manage!

Yes the Yellow, red and white phonos will be fine

You can get Scart to phono cables easy enough
