This any good? ive had good experience with Aldo's warranties so not worried for the first three years, not after anything other than a good HD 55" screen.

this is on the edge of the budget, so if it's crap, I'm stuck with the 42" for a bit.

Thx in advance for advice.

They seem to sell the 4k 55" for $799 in Australia which is only £369. If they did that in the UK I doubt they would be able to stock enough. http://www.bauhn.com.au/product-listing/55-4k-ultra-hd-led-smart-tv

Look up the 55" HD model by them and see if you can find any reviews.

I'd take a good 42 over a budget 55 any day of the week.

I've got a budget (hi sense) 55" hd/3d/smart TV. Can't fault it.

Then again I don't spend hours in front of it.

buy it and try it. Size pretty much trumps all when it comes to TVs, provided it's not a terrible panel and tbh I would have thought it would be okay.

yes, size is much more important than color rendition, upscaling performance, etc.

The bigger the TV the more you can see how poor it is...
