We need to replace our old TV and after 32"-36" TV. We're not big watchers, but I'm aware of how poor our TV's sound and picture is, so keen to get a decent pic and sound. Not fussed about lots of technical gizmos. And not keen to spend too much as we don't watch a lot.
Any straightforward options to go for ... have got totally bemused by LCD vs Plasma vs LED etc!
Thanks
Just bought a Samsung 32" LE32C580 full HD LCD from Comet (£330) for bedroom and playroom duties. When set up and adjusted correctly (search avforums or hdreview) it has an excellent SD picture, I added a Blu-Ray player and the HD picture is very good. Out of the box settings are however, rubbish so comparing TVs in shops is really not that helpful.
This is being compared with my calibrated reference 42" Pioneer Kuro plasma fed a Freesat HD signal.
For that money you really can't go wrong.
I don't watch TV much, but I am fussed by gizmos 😉
