Just been to the local Turkish barber. Everything as you’d expect...cup of mint tea, hair cut, eye brow trim, ears flamed. And then a wet towel around my face. I’ve had that before. Bit suffocating but kind of refreshing. Then a 10 year old boy comes over with a weird vibrating thing and rubs it on my forearms. A cursory vibrate on my shoulders which felt like it might have done something useful if a bit more time spent. But he really focussed on the forearms!? Wtf is all that about? Anyone else had something similar?

I have had my haircut in Peru, Vietnam and Turkey and every time they used the same thing you describe, a big black block of vibrating rubber being moved around your arms and shoulders!
First time it happened my wife fell out of the door laughing so much as my face was utter shock!
Turkish barber has just opened in Skipton. I'm intrigued now, might head down for some vibrator action.

I got the hot wax treatment - cotton bud dipped in hot wax, in the ears and up the nose, followed by a sharp pull. Smarts a bit! Appears to no longer offer it as part of the 'service'?
