I thought it was either Cliver Barker or Stephen King.
The protagonist has dreams/images about the word Trinity but it is only at the end he realises it refers to the nuclear test site at White Sands.
Any ideas folks? Starting to drive me a bit bonkers.

Only that when we do work out what book it is you'll have ruined the ending for everyone 🙂
