Mumsnet type thread

I'm after a summer trouser ๐Ÿ˜† but one where I don't lose all my loose change and keys out of the pockets every time I sit down. Chinos seem to have ridiculous pockets that only work when you are standing up, and I don't want to stand up all day.

I'm on a mountain bike forum, frequented by middle aged men full of sarcasm, asking for fashion advice. what's the worst that could happen?

Something in a fine wool, which jacket will you be matching them with?

What you need is HebTroCo to discover seersucker or madras plaid fabric for a curated summer weight trew.

Don't get too excited. Just because we have had a couple of warm days, doesn't mean you need a wardrobe for it ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, but they're not very "summery". As someone above said, you need some lightweight wool or something, unless it's for casual, in which case some kind of trekking trousers is probably a good bet.

Oh, but some of them are. Lightweight fabric, relaxed cut, pockets that keep contents inside etc.

What's wrong with just wearing shorts?

Might not be appropriate in an office type environment?

How Victorian!

Surely most modern companies have come to terms with shorts by now....
