Hi All
Dread this day the annual relighting of my parents Trianco boiler, can loose half a day depending on weather conditions luck
In my experience push fire lighters through grains so they protrude into the flue-chamber, fire lighter below stove pie to create some draw. the trouble i find is when you turn on the fan it can just blow out the flames
whats your secret?

Ok, I know youv all been waiting with anticipation, success first light, fan on, stat set high, running in under an hour
who said coal, anthracite, is a fuel of the past, now its just the refuelling rota to get back into

My first house had an anthracite boiler.
Evil, evil thing.
My first big DIY plumbing project was ripping it out to replace with a gas boiler.
