I watched S1 and i enjoyed it, but to me the plot seemed almost secondary to the music and ambience. (for added pretention read 'ambience' in a faux french accent) (for added, added pretention use words like faux)

Yeah the wire was slow and took time to build a story and characters - it should have been more like CSI with explosions and gun fights, ginger ****t's in sun glasses and cool stuff like that, so that Americans and morons could enjoy it.

If you thought the wire was boring then why watch something by the same creators?

Ha, I know you would all rise to the wire comment. But to be honest I did think it was over-hyped and a bit dull, managed half way through the second series before I gave up. people love to love the wire eh?

I never got into the wire, nothing to do with quality, it was just so long, so I never started. I'll probably not bother with anything with a linear plot, more than a half dozen episodes. I haven't got that kind of time to invest, and shiftwork means it turns into a job just to keep up
