[Closed] traffic advice - M6 toll road
travelling down to devon tomorrow, past nottm A52, A453, A42 onto M42, then it looks to join the M6. the map says toll road on a fair bit of the M6 including that little bit. im not sure whether it is tho, never been on it.
is that part toll? and if so how much does it cost to carry on down M6 to join M5?
thanks
No charge, it's past the last toll area. As far as I can remember the M42 and M6 run alongside for a few miles before splitting again.
If you're heading down the M42 towards birmingham and heading for the M5 you will go no where near the M6 Toll*
Personally, I wouldn't use the M6 either for your journey, just stick on the M42 until you reach the M5
*edit - you'll go near it, just don't on it, it will take you the wrong way
thanks ๐
yep, thatd be the quickest route ta, but i need to make a stop somewhere which means a detour ๐
cheers
Where's your stop?? Have you considered the A50 or A38 (suitability of these routes depends on the detour location)!!!
I'm pretty sure there's a service area towards the end of the M42 before you join the M5.
Nottm? Surely M1, M42, M5 are your routes of choice? Toll don't come into it. Time of day makes a difference too.
ill be stopping at great barr, which looks to be NW of brum. im just going off sticking the postcodes in aa routeplanner.....
Great Barr? From Notts? A50 then A38 into Brum. Then M6 (normal not toll) back out to M42
id be coming from lincs side of notts, so from A52. cant see why A50 and A38 would be better than the motorway that sort of runs parallel. does that change things?
thanks
