Just been listening to Jeremy Vine's show and thought I'd go to Glasses Direct for a new pair of glasses (lost mine!).

Only problem is, can't seem to find my prescription anywhere - does my optician (Specsavers) have to give me it, or can they / will they charge me for it?

they are obliged to give you a copy on the day of the test, but can and probably will charge you for a replacement, and tbh i dont blame them........

Bah! Yup, that's what I thought. I remember coming home and putting it somewhere safe, but f00k knows where.

I don't feel bad about using glassesdirect as I pay monthly for my contacts and still need an optician for sight checks - my eyes are my livelihood...

Oh, the irony! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Isn't it on the contact lens packet?

woody - only the 'sphere' field is shown on the lens packet.

Happily, found prescription in a drawer full of old keys, string, zip ties, and, very ironically, my lost glasses ๐Ÿ˜†

Still going to order a spare pair though!
