i don,t see a prolem with what he said.
the main problem is that he is a tory,if this was fat 2 jags prescott he would of been knighted,after all he is allowed to assault someone & get away with it.

Took me a bit by surprise when I heard it this morning driving to work although I really can't see what the fuss it about - brought a smile to my face somewhere on the M25.

The verdict in this house was that it was a perfectly reasonable comment.

It is the name of a village in Shetland after all. (Phonetically)

Mind you, if he were to abbreviate S****horpe, there might be a bust-up.

And there I was thinking that Flashfart was calling his glorious leader a ****...in which case I would have agreed.

But a toryboy being a bit fick on radio? Where's the surprise in that?

bit fick??? Rubbish!

Great publicity, the only people he's likely to have pissed off will be natural tory voters anyhow, and at the end of the day they'll still vote for him...

scripted for sure

the torries only real weakness is that your average sun reader is slightly worried about voing in a toff

by showing hes a bit of a swearer behind his posh face the common mans faith is now restored

while posher folks just think hes so nice he didnt realise what **** meant

good bit of spin mr pr consultant!

Still amuses me that people refer to Tories as toffs, when virtually the whole Labour cabinet are upper middle class, public school/elite university educated class-concious snobs. Lord Mandelson? Gimme a break. The only one who was really working class was Prescott, and he carried a chip on his shoulder big enough to build another Ark.

Count - there are the middle class and the true toffs. Whilst Blair was an upper middleclass wannabe toff - Cameron and his Cronies are the real thing. Inherited money, Eton, Bullingdon club and so on.

Most of the Labour lot are very middle class for sure - hardly a hint of working class ( except in the marxist sense of their relationship to the means of production) but few of them were born into such priviledge as Cameron and Osbourne et al

Too many twits might make a ****

a statement, which might sound good for the microphone, slightly risqué, but is essentially empty and pointless? Much like our PM-on-waiting.

Presumably, TJ, you'd like to see Thatcher and Major return, then? Given they were both born to lower middle class families...

Mogrim, steady old man... Words like that will only get his back up.

Besides, you could always vote for Clegg at the next election. Remember that we have three major parties...

He knew exactly what he was saying and I'm sure the spinners have worked out that it'll create positive results.

Which is why our resident Tory party activist posted the link in the first place.

4 parties here Willard

The lower middle class are the worst of the lot - read "diary of a nobody" pretentious and grasping and full of angst.

I think his biggest error in this statement was in writing off a very popular communications tool, and insulting a large group of the voting public* who find it fun and useful.

*I don't use it. Probably should like.

It's part of a general strategy to make him appear slightly less posh.

probably should have actually had him "twittering" then, rather than slagging the medium off.

But then what would it say?

@toryboyDave 11.23am
"had bike stolen by some ruffians. Secured it to robust pole to no avail. All ok though, following chauffeur picked me up."

@toryboyDave 12.14pm
"just watched Mandelson Guide to The PR of Politics. TB followed this step by step program. Must do same"

@toryboyDave 12.15pm
"just finished policy meeting with top team. Ozzers brought in old picture of me and the Bully crew completely rara'd at Henley!"

@toryboyDave 12.34pm
"Pimms o'clock! just off to Harrods to get some of their spiffing chips. Only £7.45 i hear. Toodle pip"

😉

It's not so popular though - a few people use it, quite a lot of people have tried it once because of all the hype, but so far the vast majority of people give up after a couple of days. Maybe that'll change though, I dunno.

He could go on you tube with a version of "me old bamboo", but there is no way he'll ever get past that Bullingdon Club photo. It sums him and his acolytes up far more than any opposition politician could ever verbalise.

Man of the people my arse!

I've sussed it...... apparently T-W-A-T isn't what we thought it was....

Its the collective noun for Ex Bullingdon boys.... A t-w-a-t of bullies 8)

So in fact that wasn't offensive at all.
