Much as I hate giving Nestle any extra mentions (and risk the usual "it works because you're talking about it" etc.)........ this is so bad it defies belief.

Is it a piss take?

Aw come on guys don't be so harsh. Far from the worst sportsperson advertising something ad out there and he's just a kid!

This on the other hand is beyond unforgivable!

It really annoys my Mrs.
I can only assume it is meant to be like that. I think it is kind of endearing. At least they haven't spent megabucks on a superslick over produced ad.

I am sure tom is a fine young man, definitely he is going to be a great Olympian, its just the advert, its pants.

Also that whole "team nestle" thing, fast food and sports should no go together as a model for young people which this ad as well as the whole sponsorship is directly aimed at.

Shame on the marketing men

In 15 yrs time we'll be saying 'Tom who' & gold medals aren't necesarrily a guarantee of a cash rich retirement, So who can blame him for maximising his earning petential whilst he can?
I certainly don't.

Maybe he's not being that cynical and is just trying to earn a living while participating in something he's good at.

I take it you don't approve of the McDonalds Olympic park 'restaurant' 😀

It just sends the wrong message, but we have to accept that the organisers get into bed with these high end sponsors and take the "golden penny"

Its regretful but the real world I guess.

Mind you McD could invent a whole new low fact, high fibre diet for the official "restaurants" on site....................nah that just me being a stupid idealist

Yep. It's a ****ing disgrace but money talks.

1 in 4 food purchases during the games is expected to be a McDonalds. A great lesson to all those kids.

“Visiting McDonald’s is fun and the design and graphics in these restaurants will take that to new heights. We want everyone who visits our Olympic Park restaurants to have the best possible customer experience and are confident that the look and feel of these cutting-edge designs will provide that environment.”

Perhaps they've added a small amount of lemon juice, works for me and good for avocados as well.
