Is it possible to purchase a cheapish two slice toaster that will toast a full size piece of bread without having to turn it upside down half way through the process?

TIA

You need a long slot toaster, usually designed for 4 slices

Yup we have one it's deep rather than long so easily does it without taking up unnecessary space.

Off to make my lunch so I'll post back with the model.

It's a Breville but seems they don't the model I have anymore but sure there'll be plenty of deep toasters out there,

I judge the hotels I stay in by the number of times I have to put my bread through the conveyer belt toasters to get satisfactory toast. Very few manage it with one pass. Working at The Grove today and breakfast was very good but it doesn't get top marks because the bread had to go through twice.
