I seem to recall a thread a week or so ago where someone was getting all up and in TJ's face ( as they say in the hood) because he dared to suggest that there's a significant number of raptors being poisoned.

Saw this in the Guardian, which appears to bear out TJs concerns...

TJ is always wrong.

It confused me a bit as well, but the evidence seems pretty incontrovertible in this case.

What a silly mistake to make.....

TJ is right in this case, no doubt...this must be the exception that proves the rule.

Of course they're being poisoned. It's the RSPB's fault, supporting an increase in the population of killer birds that are slaughtering millions of cuddly songbirds, racing pigeons, small dogs, children...
My GOD, won't someone think of the children!
Sorry, I am being facetious, I am full of contempt for the likes of the Songbird Society, the people behind it being members of an organisation that promotes gamebird shooting, so the culling of raptors is very much their agenda, and bloody racing pigeon fanciers, advocating the slaughter of rare raptors because they threaten a sport that entails forcing a bird to fly hundreds of miles to satisfy the vanity and financial greed of ignorant humans.
Doesn't make me angry, no, not at all. Certainly not angry enough to make anyone I found putting out poisoned bait eat it themselves. Oh no.

Maybe he was right, but it was in the wrong way, so it doesn't count.
