I recall the travellers that used to go round the houses where I was brought up*, looking for old clothes, the 'rag man' was an affable fella, who's swap your clothes for whatever he had to give, which was mainly new clothes pegs.
A million miles from the only travellers I experience now.

When you get to an age you are sent off to do a mission, Tasmania is quite high on the list of easy ones, there are a lot of tough ones though I think they have moved from the door to door in a lot of places. Know quite a few through my previous work, the ones I met loved the travel and challenge of it all and if your SLC based they through a nice party at the airport when you get back.

There was no vitriol in the post and I don’t think I’ve actual ever read a serious post by Binners unless it relates to Greggs confections.

I've not had this much of a response since I suggested I was going to beat my next door neighbours dog to death with a cricket bat. I meant that about as seriously, and thought it would have been equally as apparent that I was joking. That one led to a ban, and then I started getting emailed death threats. Seriously. Which I had a right old laugh replying too
