i do love how every thing on here becomes a simple point scoring exercise and an exercise in being morally more outraged than the last person!
Clearly modern travellers, not the lovely heather sellers of old, but the modern "park where we like caravan club" are a problem, i've not heard a single suggestion of what could be done to improve the situation from anyone including those from that background, it has just been 7 pages of point-scoring....
I don't live too far from Cromer, mentioned above, not a single conviction came from those stabbings and disorder. I was in Brighton for a bank holiday weekend, where the whole of the main strip had to be closed following a wedding, i watched them peeing up the walls, helping themselves to beer, trashing fittings, again at a cost of an estimated £800,000 in bank holiday weekend trade to those pubs and bars, not a single conviction. So whilst we can all try and out politically correct each other it is a clear problem, what do people suggest to tackle the issue?

Several people have accused me / us of that on here now. Binners isn't a "mate," I've met him once probably about five years ago.
As I've said (clearly and several times now, so I thought), I ignored his comment because I knew it was a joke. I knew it was a joke not because he's a "mate" but because I've spent more than eight seconds on this forum and therefore had a reasonable notion that he's rarely serious about anything other than pastry-based goods and crayons.
Honestly, there's some folk on here that take great delight in twisting absolutely everything we say or do in order to point-score or otherwise run us down, they could make fusilli from spaghetti. It's gone from merely frustrating to bloody depressing.

Personally I’d lay down a trail of lead flashing and copper pipe that leads to a cage cunningly disguised as a knackered caravan. Like a giant mouse trap, but with metal rather than cheese as the bait. We could then release them in the countryside a few miles away or, err, something else.......

Binners was joking, but it was misjudged. As is so often the case on forums it's easy to think you are just talking with a close circle of friends who know you and understand the context of your statements. But that's not the case. You are speaking aloud and beyond that circle to the general public at large and so you need really think about what you post and empathise with the general public who will 'over hear' it and make judgements based on your words.
I'm closing this thread now. I may leave it here as some kind of lesson and because I (and the mods) hate deleting threads unless we really have to. Especially where opinions have been expressed and things can be learned.
