They've been pouring money into eyesight research for a while now. With a cynical hat on, it seems like their longterm goal is screenless viewing- optical nerve jacks, contact lens screens and the like- but it's helping people today too, it's pretty amazing.
That reminded me of the Joanne Milne story and the playlist that one of her friends made.
