To cut a long story short...

Got a pounding headache after running up stairs on Monday.... took pills, went to sleep.

Pounding headache from riding 200yds last night. Nhs direct says a + e, cue mri scan (clear) and today I'm due a lumbar puncture. Otherwise know as a

I would recommend you try to curl into as tight a ball as pods when they're doing it..
Increases the gaps between discs and makes it quicker and less painful..
Apparently.

On a serious note, I think you are probably suffering from stress. Stress isn't always obvious, it can be a constant state where you are adapting/performing just above.

That's made my skin go all funny. Don't like the sound of that at all, hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

You poor fing ๐Ÿ™

Have never had one but think it's definitely a grit-your-teeth-and-go-to-your-happy-place-in-your-head type experience. Hope it's over with quickly and it turns out to be something of nothing (not something AND nothing as my lovely husband put it....!)

lumbar puncture

I had one when I was 5 - took until into my 20s before I lost the images of the event...

t though the anesthetic is now wearing off.....

you get anesthetic - I am pretty sure when I was 5 I couldn't have any and they had to hold me down - hence why I could remember it for so long!

You had an anesthetic? You lucky bugger, I didn't. I also made the mistake of looking at the needle prior to the procedure. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I also asked if it would hurt and at first they said no so ask them to be honest and with a wry smile he said yes! He wasn't wrong.

Did you have to lie flat for four hours and drink lots of water too?

Edit; Damn you DrP, I just clicked on your link and I'm now shuddering just thinking about it. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ
