[Closed] Third Party Cheapo Ink Jet Catridges
Hi,
Fed up with spending a fortunte on original Ink Jet catridges for my Canon printer MP600.
Any experience of these cheaper third party makes? Do they work, are they rubbish, and am I better staying with original catridges?
Thanks WipeOut
Last one I bought was so rubbish I ended up buying a proper one a week or so later at PC World because I was desperate - so doubly expensive!
They dont cope very well with intemittant use. Mine all seemed to dry up a lot quicker than originals so they were false economy. They were never as good print quality either.
I have however started using cartridge world who refill my cartridges and they seem to be lasting well
I got some for my Canon. The print quality isn't as good and you have to swap labels over from your old cartriges or the printer won't recognise them, and even then it can't display how much ink you have left as the cheap cartriges lack that feature
I might try filling them up next time, but I won't buy cheap ones again.
My dad had endless problems with his photos coming out looking like a Monet instead of a photo.. turned out to be budget cheapo ink. A proper Epson one and everything was pin-sharp again.
I tried to buy new ones for a Canon recently. I was £5 cheaper buying a new printer (same model), which came with cartridges.
MP600R here
inkrite ones are shite - they supposedly take the chip off your existing empty cartridge but sometimes that fails entirely and even if not they still don't show up on the ink monitor thingy
colour isn't too bad though
gone back to Canon ones from valueshop
I have an eight colour Canon Pixmar Pro, it costs best part of a hundred quid for a full set of cartridges. Anyone tried filling these cartridges?
Thanks for the advice guys, looks like expensive originals.
