I may have a bit of spare time in London, any ideas?

Am a bit skint and know the museums etc. Am told the Cutty Sark is worth a visit, Eltham Palace is near. Am more into quirky/undiscovered oddities than mainstream. Usually when I visit I have loads of ideas, struggling this time for some reason...not much in Time Out either.

In Dulwich...with bike.

Go and see Fred - you could pair it with a trip to the Cutty Sark.

Monument, a great view over the city, hardly ever much of a queue, and cheap as chips.

Selhurst Park football ground?

All at the other end of London from you, but you do have your bike:
Chelsea Physic Garden? Kew Gardens? Syon House/Gardens? Kew Gardens is magical when the autumn colours start kicking in.

There's sometimes things to do on the Mayor of London Presents website....although nothing at the moment.

Walking about London is sometimes interesting, there's a lot to see which I normally don't notice when walking between meetings in the city.

Kew Gardens is magical when the autumn colours start kicking in.

For someone who is "a bit skint", I suspect the 16 quid entry is a bit much though (not to mention the really very expensive food once you get in if you don't take a picnic).

Just have a bit of a ride around, London Bridge/Borough Market (if you like foodie stuff), see the Shard, up river to Tate Modern/Waterloo/National Film Theatre/Festival Hall, down the river to Tower Bridge/Design Museum/Greenwich (Observatory and National Maritime museum). Over the river to City of London, Leadenhall Market, Lloyds Building, Gerkin, St Pauls (all of this near Museum of London)

Have a nose around Dulwich Village, very nice. Picture Gallery if you like that sort of thing

Go to the painted chapel for a good long look. It's stunning.

Maybe tour the bike cafes and hang out with the cool kids.

Thanks all. I did the IWM Saturday, today the Design Museum (not at its best) and a wonder into Tate Modern.

Decided to sack the smoke off and visit my sister in Suffolk tomorrow now.

Stoner - Eltham is good for the art deco fan, tho it's not huge.
