It looks like I might be going to Cotonou in Benin for a week through work.

Hardly a hub of high life 🙂 But the black magic market was interesting. And the peanuts in the J&B whisky bottles were fantastic.

Do it. Only suggestion is to stick strongly to the nice/ more expensive areas. Don't follow any one you don't know to a 'house party'...

How bizarre'ish I'm off to Benin City in Nigeria next week, I tend not to venture out after dark too much in Nigeria.
Ska, always nice to receive cautious advice. I'm being hosted by the French military though so should have a bit of top cover. Then again some of my scariest nights have been spent in the company of uniformed men.
