so the Kindle Touch, can it be used as an MP3 player as well? It says "Text-to-speech, audiobooks and mp3 support" but can't find out what "MP3 support" means? help trying to buy one for my Dad for his birthday. Thanks.

Yep, you can transfer mp3 files over to it and play them like an mp3 player through its speakers or headphones. It's fairly limited in terms of functionality but if definitely plays them!

If it is like the keyboard one all you can do is play tracks in order and skip forwards by a track at a time. Limited but useful.

Connect via usb>place mp3 into 'music' folder. No way i know of to see what tracks are on there, but it's listed under 'experimental' so is a bit of a 'work in progress' thing!
