Hot water tap died - well went to a dribble so just assumed the ceramic valve thing had failed...

But no, a wasp managed to get into the HW system (via header tank in the loft) and blocked the hot water tap feed pipe which is only 5mm wide!

On the plus side, one less wasp for the rest of us (wimps) to worry about 😉

Try not to think about the fact you've been drinking rotting wasp carcass for the last few days...

Dark coloration? Scant regard for water quality regulations?

Must be a blackie lawless wasp

We’ve had this in our bath tap before, but thanks to phenomenal mains water pressure we get, they don’t have a chance to get stuck, they just come out in pieces after going through the tap grate thing like a a chip shop chip machine.
