There’s a tiny hole/crack in the sole of my fancy wellies!! I reckon I can seal it with some aquasure neoprene adhesive, but, can anyone work out how I can see where it is to know where to glue?!
I could fill it with water, but that would show me where the hole is from the outside, when what I need is the inside?! Torch? Specially trained vole inside it (with a torch)?
Am I being dense and there’s an easy way?!
I used copydex to repair my sailing wellies, but i got a 1 pence sized tear, caught it on a winch. So easy to see.
Anyway, i repaired it by using the copydex on a piece of cloth on the inside, then more copydex over the patch and on the outside literally smothered it on, not a pretty fix, but remained watertight for years after(and still are)
Probably not the same type of boot, these are soft and flexible, not really a stiff rubber. But patched on the inside it would probably be just as good a seal.

Put an air hose down the neck of the boot and tighten round it with zip ties. Turn the compressor on and see what happens?
cover the inside with some dilute washing up liquid and blow through the hole from the outside and then see where it's bubbled.
Or - just fill the hole from the outside, if you put enough it'll be on the inside too?
Put the boot in a bucket. Watch where the water comes in using the camera on your phone.
Wear boot, stand in a bucket of water and when your sock gets damp, remove foot and check damp spot - match to inside boot.
Poke a cocktail stick through the hole then you’ll be able to feel where it is
Fill your boot with stans sealant and wait for it to come out of the sole, once you seee the white tell tale dribble pour the satans back in the container.

Then it won’t really matter anyway.
Or, buy a very overpriced tubeless repair kit, in a very nice case with some dead fish in? That should work, if it doesn’t then fit a tube and call it a retro wellygog?

If you do decide to go with this please make sure you video it
Big tub of water.
Turn boot upside down and put it in.
Watch where the bubbles come out.
You may need to add a former of some sort to stop the leg of the boot collapsing.
Or fold it over at the top and put a big bulldog clip on it.
