Thank you everyone, we also had a really good one. Nice to meet so many forumites, Cougar's vintage computer collection is truly impressive.

Let me know re hosting, I'll negotiate with Dr MrsPJM1974 and we'll book Zoom time.

Great crack last night, thanks gents.
I've already got 10 questions prepared 😁 and as a music round and picture round was suggested I reckon we'll do it the old fashioned way with read out questions and write answers down.

If Im not working lates as I dont get home till 830pm

Concensus was for a Friday or Saturday night so people can let their hair down a bit and not have to work the following day. A later start probably useful for kids bedtimes too.

@gnusmas, did your lad get his birthday Chainsaw? 🤣

I was most gratified by some of the cries of anguish when the answers were revealed

You're a bad, bad man.

Well played.

Regarding dates and times,

We're never going to be able to please everyone and Wednesday would not have been my first choice, but last night was literally the only evening all three of us had comfortably free for the foreseeable future so we didn't have a vast amount of choice in the matter. I've suggested mixing it up in future, the "Wednesday Night Pub Quiz" sounds like a good idea but it permanently excludes anyone who cannot ever make Wednesdays due to prior commitments, so as above it's looking like the next one will be nearer the weekend. (Not that it's possible to be further away...)

I'm considering doing a poll but I rather suspect that like two people will complete it. Still, I suppose that does mean No Votey, No Whingy.

@tthew nope, as cute as he is there's no way I'm letting him loose with a chainsaw. Likelihood is it would be too heavy for him to lift and he'd probably sit on it and ride it 😬😂

@bunnyhop thankyou, he'll be back from school in around 15 mins and will be really excited for his presents. An evening of carnage and destruction I'm guessing lol

I think that's a good plan.

Cougar - Benevolent Dictatorship is the best way to organise this stuff in my experience. Tell everyone when it will be and that will be on a day and time to suit you. If they say they can't make it then it is a shame but they can read about it on the thread afterwards. You don't ask the frogs opinion when you drain the swamp.

I know, I am a loss to the diplomatic corps 🙂

Aye. I come from Mono where I believe we invented that term.
