Its only when he pops up again, mangling the English language as only he knows how, that you realise how much you've missed the old buffoon. Aaaaaaah prezza - with his face like a bulldog that's just had a stroke, then been hit in the face with a shovel

His solution to the present unrest? Ban all hooded tops, baseball caps, hats and scarves from the streets. ****ing genius!!

And who's going to enforce that John? The same police force who couldn't manage to stop people setting fire to buildings?

Show a little respect, it is not John Prescott, but "Baron Prescott, of Kingston upon Hull in the County of East Yorkshire", or "The Right Honourable The Lord Prescott" to his friends.

He's a whole lot funnier now that he doesn't have any parliamentary responsibilities.

TBH, those idiots could do with some of Prescott's kind of justice. Dish out the old left/right combo Prezza.

you dont support this appropriate response?
TBH it would make some sense to be able to arrest anyone covering their face in the current events for a short period of time - iirc they can do this at protests as well.

Isn't that what they did in Manchester city centre last night?

I very much doubt it, Junky, but I wasn't advocating the police being "able to arrest anyone covering their face in the current events. "

It's a very slippery slope I don't really think we should consider going down.

aye i see your point CPT re the muslim women and in general. to be fair.
However why are they covering their faces if not to prevent capture whilst committing crime? I doubt many are doing it to keep warm tbh.
I think it is ok for a short time during the current issues - gentle martial law/curfew??? but should not be a general rule.

My point is that the police haven't got the manpower to stop people looting shops or torching cars. Judging by the pictures of last night, if this had been applied they'd have had to arrest the entire population of Salford 6. Actually.... that's not a bad idea

He was imparting his Yoda-like wisdom on Five Live this morning, about half eight Kev. He's like a verbal steamroller.

He was convinced that this was the answer to it all the countries problems!

Quality picture!!! Boris looked like he was on good, bumbling ****-wit form again yesterday. Easy for me to say. I don't live in a City he's (apparently) in charge of ๐Ÿ˜€

I think it should be a law that politicians and the like aren't allowed PR agents and stuff. Just let 'em blurt out whatever pops into their heads. At least then they'll be entertaining ๐Ÿ™‚ WTF was Boris thinking with that broom? does he even know what it is? Love that blokes face next to Bozza above. Where's his "I'm with stupid" t-shirt? ๐Ÿ˜€

Possibly the most cynical piece of action of the day yesterday. He'd been heckled elsewhere and scuttled off without listening or addressing people's concerns (see kimbers post - also note the Home Sec slinking away). Then he turns up broom in hand, waves it about and gets a cheer. Fortunately the media weren't fooled.
