what the smeg? you mean it wasn't Craig Charles??
I've really enjoyed these programmes. Really excellent drama. more bbc more.
Dark, very dark...
But as already pointed out.- Excellent.
..amd amazing writing.
Compulsive viewing on a difficult subject that could so very easily have been unwatchable, maudlin crap. The BBC at it's very best.
I watched the one with Bob Hoskins last night, and found it hard to understand the characters' motivations. Also ol' Bob looked out of place in the Norf!
I liked the one with Anna Friel in suspenders 🙂
Mmmm. Anna Friel.
Beth & Margret. That kiss.
Mmmm.
[stays seated & hope's fire alarm doesn't go off in next minute]
[ok now]
I thought it went a bit sugary at the end, but it was good and WAY better than just about anything else on the box at the moment. Liked the one with Bob Hoskins [had Frances Barber too] but he does seem out of place in the north.
Steven Graham was really good in This is England as well, well worth seeing if you get the chance.
Thank you swamp_boy, I was trying to think where I had seen him before.
Anna Friel in suspenders
:-O
why haven't I heard of/seen this programme before?
The episode with Anna Friel was much, much more than her in suspenders.
The Street is superb TV and it is far superior to that Red Riding style-over-substance rubbish that was on a few months ago.
The episode with Anna Friel was much, much more than her in suspenders
agreed, but that's the bit I remember most clearly (simple, see ?). Apart from that evil old man saying she was scum for sleeping with him, which made no sense at all.
I watched Red Riding wondering all the time when I was going to understand what was going on. It never happened.
