A pub in Upton on Severn, The Little Upton Muggery, did me rump and chips at the weekend for 10 quid. Best steak I have eaten as far as remember. . Inch thick and virtually A5 size. Sold as 8oz. Yeah right. Huge pile of whopper chips. Suspect the ancient crone behind the bar did it herself. Yummy but how they made a profit I don't know. Said crone looked a lot better in the nude photos on the wall. Miss something 1911.

I love a good steak, but special occasions only! And don't fall for that "regenerative" greenwash - a good local farm with a proper management plan and no soy- or palm-based supplements is good, but a big corporate supplier claiming to be regenerative is almost certainly greenwash.
I had a rump from a local (North Yorkshire) farm shop that sells their own produce a few weeks ago. I weighed it at home & it was 38oz, so I chopped a bit off & froze it. It was £16.
It was also very very nice.
Got the chopped off bit still in the freezer.
Ribeye about £25/kg
Tomahawk or tbone slightly cheaper (but it does have a bone)
Fillet about £45/kg
Wild venison haunch steaks < £20/kg [fairly similar to fillet if that's your thing]
and gets cheaper than that when their restaurant customers cancel orders!
I can get Himalayan aged waga whatzit cuts but no idea on prices.
