[Closed] The Perfect Husband
My wife is very supportive of Me and Jnr at XC Races spending all day with little Miss K helping us with lunches, organisation and endlessly watch bikes go around, so I thought i’d show my gratitude and treat her with this...
Yes, my generosity knows no bounds, think how grateful she’ll be now she doesn’t have to carry several bags of kit and lunches, fold up chairs and umbrellas from the car park to track side.
She cant say I don’t think of her...
What have your treated your better half to lately?
Is there something missing in that post ?
Mir did you treat her with three dots and a new paragraph.
(edit.... aaaah. I see. Need new readers apparently 🤪)
(Edit2... those trolleys are awesome 👍)
What have your treated your better half to lately?
A divorce
Looks like one of those red bull racers where the wheels buckle under during the first 100 yards.

I made her extremely happy by putting in a late entry for the Fort William marathon in order to "keep her company".
Trip up the OXO Tower.
Sunset, bottle of Boli..
I made a cuppa for her, while offering loan of my comfy Volvo rather than her tinny Ibiza for a long trip to visit family.

You have got to be kidding me.
Man are you in trouble when you give her that!
You might as well have bought her one of those tartan shopping trolleys for when she does the weekly shop😋.
I support her trainer fetish.
Altra this time
I don't remember any what trolley thread...

27.5", makes the shopping come alive.
Sorry, but e-trolleys are the future.

Convinced her to get an e-bike and cycle to work.
1)I wasn't paying for it. I bought the last bike she never used.
2) crashed it twice on the first day.!
90 Finish dishwasher tablets on Prime day

It arrived about 2hrs after I posted. She quite likes the idea. It folds up flat it’s pretty good.
Should’ve got her an Amazon echo.
Got pished, touched her up at a friends house and threw up out of the window of her sisters car last night.

Im way ahead of you... our 1990’s clock radio was replaced by a Spot on Prime day... albeit that was more about modernisation...
touched her up at a friends house
you're absolutely sure that your memory is correct here ?
Well the hangover is strong enough to mask a concussion so who knows?
I did buy her a G-Tech vacuum cleaner last week.
When I say I bought it.........she did pay half.
Ooh, and I bought her a koi when I went out to avoid the royal wedding.
She called it Harry and it lasted two weeks before a heron ate it.
A new ( 2015 plate ) car to replace the Nissan X Trail we have had from new in 2007 ..sorry to see the old girl go there is a lot of sentimental value attached ...
Oh and I will miss the X-trail too of course 😉

luckily it wasn't the other way round. Buy her a trolley, and forgiveness shall be yours. And she can wheel you home in it next time.
Those wheels look like they'll last just long enough to get somewhere, so you have to carry everything back across the grass/mud/sand. Even the trolley. Excellent, quality bit of kit there.

If i post links, i'll end up banned before breakfast is over !
confused myself - An Ideal Husband is the Oscar Wilde play.....here's an appropriate quote though...
"One should never give a woman anything she can't wear in the evening"
Well she can't wear "a good seeing to" * in the evening so that blows that suggestion out the water
*my wife's exact words
Went out to her favourite pub for lunch without her last week - brought her back a stolen sachet of the posh mayo she likes. Twice...

some internet "research" may show that "a good seeing to" can result in a necklace of sorts ...but maybe we should move on I'm certain Oscar wouldn't have gone there
Those trolleys appeared to be this year's must have accessory for visitors to the Air Tattoo a couple of weekends ago.
This very morning.... i've told my lucky lady to go out and buy herself a new washing machine 🙂 But then on the other hand I also told her to sort the tax on the new (to us) mini convertible I bought her the other week.
Superman wears Ro5ey jim jams
I treated my partner to a new Ironing board cover for her birthday.
I was going to get one of those for festival duties this year, but I couldn’t afford tickets to Greenman due to work, (or lack thereof), so I’ll get one next for next year. Much better than the sack-truck type of thing I’ve got, which falls over sideways on any surface that isn’t smooth tarmac.
According to Mrs S, the perfect husband has an 8 inch tongue, can breathe through his ears and has a tv on his forehead.
Tickets to the English National Opera and a Lego Death Star. Eclectic tastes.
I just got the Mrs a new matching bag and belt. The hoovers not even a year old yet!
Got a few brownie points for this one! She had been saving, but paid for half 🙂

A romantic weekend away in Norfolk. Standing by the side of the road passing up food and drinks for 12 hours. I’m all heart.
A pair of Crocs.
#endthread - she still swears at me everytime I catch her wearing them.
T'other half gave me some money towards the parts so I can mend one of my lawnmowers, does that count?
I bought her a ‘smart body weight scale’. On Mother’s Day.
What have your treated your better half to lately?
A bottle of Sauvignon blanc and a packet of Minstrels.
We got one of those trolleys last year for carting stuff to entertain / feed / seat 4 adults and 3 young boys across the beach, also very hady for Cross races and an ideal cot for when No.3 fancies a kip on the beach, at a cross race.
