My wife is very supportive of Me and Jnr at XC Races spending all day with little Miss K helping us with lunches, organisation and endlessly watch bikes go around, so I thought i’d show my gratitude and treat her with this...

Yes, my generosity knows no bounds, think how grateful she’ll be now she doesn’t have to carry several bags of kit and lunches, fold up chairs and umbrellas from the car park to track side.

She cant say I don’t think of her...

What have your treated your better half to lately?

Is there something missing in that post ?

Mir did you treat her with three dots and a new paragraph.

(edit.... aaaah. I see. Need new readers apparently 🤪)

(Edit2... those trolleys are awesome 👍)

Looks like one of those red bull racers where the wheels buckle under during the first 100 yards.

I made her extremely happy by putting in a late entry for the Fort William marathon in order to "keep her company".

I made a cuppa for her, while offering loan of my comfy Volvo rather than her tinny Ibiza for a long trip to visit family.

Man are you in trouble when you give her that!

You might as well have bought her one of those tartan shopping trolleys for when she does the weekly shop😋.

Convinced her to get an e-bike and cycle to work.

1)I wasn't paying for it. I bought the last bike she never used.

2) crashed it twice on the first day.!

It arrived about 2hrs after I posted. She quite likes the idea. It folds up flat it’s pretty good.

Im way ahead of you... our 1990’s clock radio was replaced by a Spot on Prime day... albeit that was more about modernisation...

Ooh, and I bought her a koi when I went out to avoid the royal wedding.

She called it Harry and it lasted two weeks before a heron ate it.

luckily it wasn't the other way round. Buy her a trolley, and forgiveness shall be yours. And she can wheel you home in it next time.

Those wheels look like they'll last just long enough to get somewhere, so you have to carry everything back across the grass/mud/sand. Even the trolley. Excellent, quality bit of kit there.

confused myself - An Ideal Husband is the Oscar Wilde play.....here's an appropriate quote though...

"One should never give a woman anything she can't wear in the evening"

Went out to her favourite pub for lunch without her last week - brought her back a stolen sachet of the posh mayo she likes. Twice...

some internet "research" may show that "a good seeing to" can result in a necklace of sorts ...but maybe we should move on I'm certain Oscar wouldn't have gone there

Those trolleys appeared to be this year's must have accessory for visitors to the Air Tattoo a couple of weekends ago.

I was going to get one of those for festival duties this year, but I couldn’t afford tickets to Greenman due to work, (or lack thereof), so I’ll get one next for next year. Much better than the sack-truck type of thing I’ve got, which falls over sideways on any surface that isn’t smooth tarmac.

What have your treated your better half to lately?

A bottle of Sauvignon blanc and a packet of Minstrels.

We got one of those trolleys last year for carting stuff to entertain / feed / seat 4 adults and 3 young boys across the beach, also very hady for Cross races and an ideal cot for when No.3 fancies a kip on the beach, at a cross race.
