Use an online fees calculator to figure out the amount including fees, and send that amount instead.

as pdw said, fees are something like 3.2% plus 20p i think, so if you're sending £100, send £103.40, paypal deduct their fees and £100 hits the account.

Either:
- send money to family or friends (AKA PayPal gift). No fees as long as you have funds in your PP account to cover it. If not it gets charged to your credit card and you get charged. Downside is no buyer protection at all.
- or send normal payment but add a bit on to cover the fees your seller will be charged. Upside is full buyer protection.

Simples.

Not quite... 3.2% of £103.40 is not £3.20.

Yes that's right +20p is £3.40

If you want protection then paypal the normal way if the seller doesn't like that then tough.

Nope - you're taking 3.2% of the wrong thing.

3.2% of £103.40 = £3.31. Add 20p and you've just paid your seller £99.89.

To get the right answer, add 20p, then divide by 0.968. Or use an online calculator 🙂

Seller pays the fees, and should price the item accordingly. Simple.

Go to send as normal and see how much they will receive once fees deducted.
Follow it up with a gift for the fees amount.
