The wife wants to see that - 41 and thinks they are the funniest characters she's seen in films for years

I'm so looking forward to seeing that almost as much as I am showing the trailer to my 3&1/2y/o son. He'll be soooo excited.

😆

This or Shaun the Sheep.

Saw that Stephen Hawking movie last week, and they had a Shaun the Sheep "switch off your phones" short first. Had me giggling inappropriately through the start of the film.

Child 44 for me. Read the book a few years back and thought, "this would make a great film if done in the right kind of bleak, brooding style"

The fact that it has Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman in it suggests it'll be a corker.

I'm I the only one who wants to gouge my eyes out and shove knitting needles in my ears when those yellow queefs come on the tv?

It was going so well up until it said "Sandra Bullock", as herself won't let me see any films with Sandra in 😥

Tom Hardy playing Mad Max. Words cannot express how happy this makes me...

well that's your issue, try the 1st (or your should have tried the 1st..1st)... the 2nd is very good but nothing on the 1st.

TBF luckily all different & have different tastes, otherwise I'd be swamped 😉

Ahem anyways, aP, I was there 1st

I'm not too bothered. I did say I'd watch both if we could watch a film of my choosing, but after the infamous 'Lars Von Trier incident' there weren't any takers.

I've heard good things about "Big Hero 6" despite the trailer being a bit meh.
Have booked me and the boy to see it on Sunday.

Dezb, it's very good. Slow burner but will hook you and the kids. Me, my 13yo and 11yo loved it.

You're ok, she's not 'in' it, just providing a voice.

As Cougar sez, she's an animated character who looks nothing like Ms Bullock.
Really looking forward to both the Minions and Shawn the Sheep, Shawn especially as he's a local 'character', being Bristol produced.
BBC Points West had a big feature about it, showing the sets in their big production warehouse; bloody amazing the work that goes in, for about three seconds of footage a day!
There's a brilliant Silence of the Lambs moment in it that caused a genuine LOL! 😀

Going to see Shawn tomorrow evening, I'd have gone to see Big Hero 6, but the latest showing is around 6pm, and it's about a forty minute drive to the cinema.
Shame, I'd have like to see it on a big screen. Glad you enjoyed it, Dez.
Can't wait to see Shawn, I love all the little pop-culture jokes they sneak in.

Jupiter Ascending

Just terrible - Flash Gordon in the eighties was 10 x better

I quite liked Jupiter Ascending but mainly for the visuals as the story was a bit meh and fragmented.

Quite fancy Big Hero 6 but have no kids to take to see it (yet that is) and the Mrs doesn't fancy it.
