Apparently, this is the last time I'm allowed to do this to the dining room. There is a perfectly good "bike room-cupboard-and shed" for these activities.

How am I supposed to know what bits I have unless I pile them on the floor and sort them out once every quarter?

Seriously though, how many "last times" are there? this is like, the eighth.

That isn't a lot of bike bits. There is no problem there.

Mad perspective.

Norco trials Ryan Leech bike, original Inbred 26-bars facing wrong way there- and Mrs. C's Kona.

All those boxes are bits. And there's a cupboard of frames, wheels and bars. And 2 Hi Ten BMX's in the garden.

I don't fancy your chances of finding any small dropped bits on that rug!

Still, oil spills won't be noticed though.

Maybe if you'd cleaned them first?

What's that all about? You could be using it as a work bench.

Good use of carpet to stop oil/dirt getting on easily cleaned floor. I like your care free style, 8) deal with it.
